Fall is the best time of year to visit the Lake of the Ozarks if you’re into festivals. Here are a few festivals worth checking out!

In the Lake area, autumn means the Turkey and Apple festivals. First up is the Turkey Festival held in downtown Eldon Saturday, Sept. 24. The Olde Tyme Apple Festival in downtown Versailles is the following weekend, with the main event being Saturday, Oct. 1.

Apple Festival
Apple Jammin’ is the theme of this year’s fest. Expect some great music to be playing around the downtown square on Saturday where a multitude of craft and food vendors will also be set up.

Tip Parking can be a bear at this popular fest, but a shuttle service is available to take visitors downtown from the Morgan County Fairgrounds off Highway 52.
