Freedom Boat Club at the Lake of the Ozarks

What’s Freedom Boat Club all about?

Founded in 1989, the Freedom Boat Club is our country’s oldest and largest member only boat club. Our first location was started in Sarasota, FL and has grown to 70 + locations throughout the nation. When you join Lake of the Ozarks location you will receive unlimited usage of our fleet of new boats which currently include new 26′ Rinker Captiva 246 Bow Rider, 21′ Rinker Captiva 220 MTX Extreme Ski and Wakeboard, 24′ Hurricane SunDeck SD 2400 I/O, 25′ Crest II 250 SLC Tri-toon.

What does Freedom Boat Club (FBC) have to offer at the Lake of the Ozarks?

FBC boats range from 16 to 27 feet. These boats include:

  • Inshore Center Consoles
  • Offshore Center Consoles
  • Decks
  • Pontoons
  • Bow Riders
  • Sailboats
  • Kayaks

Their boats are guaranteed to be new or like new.  Currently, their boats are all new at the Lake of the Ozarks.  All FBC boats are equipped with four-stroke engines, which are extremely quiet and fuel efficient.  They are also fully outfitted with all of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) required safety equipment.  In addition, our boats may come equipped with depth finder, fish finder, VHF marine radio, compass, stereo, ladder, anchor, and bimini tops.

What are three major benefits for people who become FBC members?

  1. As a FBC member, members are offered unlimited training. USCG certified captains on staff that provide individual instruction. New member orientation includes 2 hours of classroom instruction followed by 2 hours on the water. There’s also additional training for sailing and offshore boating. We also provide unlimited local orientation at all company locations.
  2. Members hassle free boating experience begins when they arrive at the dock.  The dock master helps them get all of their belongings loaded on the boat.  They and their friends or family members head out on the water for a day of enjoyment.  Upon their return, they simply pay for the fuel you used.  They may fuel the boat yourself, or leave that to our dock staff.  The dock staff then help them take all of their belongings back to their car and then they drive away.
  3. FBS cleans the boat, which normally consumes two thirds of a boat owner’s time, leaving only one third spent enjoying the water.  As a FBC member, 100% of your time will be enjoying the water. FBC does all the required maintenance; a boat owner’s average annual cost of maintenance is 15% of the purchase price of the boat.

How can a person become a member?

FBC is currently offering a Charter Member Special for the Month of February. This will lock in prices and offer substantial savings to early birds.

If you’re spending your Labor Day weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks, there will be no shortage of warmth and sunshine.

Perfect for renting a boat, exploring a local cave, or barreling down some of the best water slides in the country!

Some tips to keep in mind this weekend:

  • Stay hydrated: With temperatures in the upper 90’s, be sure to have a cooler full of ice and bottled water. The heat can sneak up on you if you’re not careful!
  • Wear Sunscreen: There’s nothing worse than spending your vacation fried from a bad sunburn. Apply sunscreen at least every few hours. Do your best to find some shade every now and then, whether a canopy on a boat or relaxing under some trees.
  • Mix It Up: It’s always nice to balance out your trip: Spent a good amount of time on the lake, enjoying the outdoors, then head indoors for some air conditioning in the evening.

Don’t miss out on the fabulous fireworks displays this Sunday. Here’s also another roundup of weekend activities.

We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and happy Labor Day Weekend! Make the last days of summer count!

Why the Lake of the Ozarks Is the Ultimate Boating Destination

We’re always looking for interesting articles written about the Lake of the Ozarks. Little tidbits and facts that give you more insight into why we (and much of America) find the lake to be such a perfect vacation destination.

The Kansas City Star recently wrote a fantastic piece about all things boating at the Lake of the Ozarks. Here are some facts from the article we wanted to share:

– How many boaters and vacationers does the big lake attract? The Water Patrol, a division of the Missouri Highway Patrol, said the lake area is the equivalent of the third-largest city in the state on holiday weekends.

– There are more than 25,000 boat docks on the 54,000-acre lake, more than on any other Missouri reservoir.

– Lake of the Ozarks was named America’s Boating Capital by Boating Magazine in an article this year. “Ask most boat builders where their top five markets are, and Lake of the Ozarks will be on that list.

– So why is Lake of the Ozarks so popular with boaters? It starts with its size. Covering 54,000 acres and 92 miles from end to end, it offers plenty of options for boaters. If you want to boat into the middle of the action, you can stay in the first 40 miles of the lake. But if you want a more peaceful experience, you can find less traffic from mid-lake to the Warsaw area.

If you’re heading to the lake this month, next month, or this fall, be sure to check out Adventure Boat Rentals for all of your boat rental needs!
