Thanksgiving Is All About The Side Dishes!

Thanksgiving is a little over a week away!

If you don’t quite have your recipes laid out, here are some delicious side dish recipes.

Roasted Cipollini Onions With Sherry Caramel: Now, this recipe sounds fancy, but it’s not all that complicated. “This recipe for glazed onions uses a quirky sherry-vinegar caramel that has myriad applications,” says Leather Storrs, chef-owner of Noble Rot restaurant. “It holds well in a squirt bottle at room temperature and is excellent for basting meat while roasting, or to pretty up a plated composed salad.

Apple Almond Quinoa: The salad is the perfect side dish for a turkey, with the nutty flavor of the quinoa playing with the almonds and offset by the sweet tang of dried cranberries and apple. If you like, you can add browned sausage to this salad with the onions, craisins and apple to make more of a meal. When I do that, I always serve the quinoa with a spinach-garlic salad to green up the plate. This serves two as a light meal if you add roughly 3 ounces of diced sausage.

Double-Stuffed Potatoes: This is mashed potatoes taken to a whole new level. Your family and guests will be impressed and satisfied!
